How Will 2025 Work Out For Zelensky?

Do they still have the Super Bowl these days?  I haven't heard anything about it.  Maybe pro-football ain't what it used to be.  Maybe the internet isn't quite the hype-machine that old-fashioned television was.

At any rate I miss the idea of the "office pool" for betting on the score of the Super Bowl.  Perhaps this year we should replace it with an office pool for betting on the fate of Zelensky of Kiev in 2025.  It is quite a challenge because the possible outcomes are so widely separated.

1.  His most obvious career path is the one chosen by Mussolini at the end of World War II.

2.  A quiet retirement in various mansions around the world, paid for by American tax dollars that stuck to Zelensky's fingers.

3.  A professorship at Columbia University in, say, "Peace Studies" or International Relations.

4.  Directorship of a big-name think tank in the Washington DC area.  The think tank will be affiliated with neo-cons, who are on their back foot these days.  They might benefit from a celebrity name like Zelensky.  They need to get to work on their big comeback.

5.  The official head of NATO.

6.  An important position in a South American drug cartel that wants to expand its product line to gun-running, tanks, missiles, and drones.

My official bet is on #4.

Distinguishing between a dictator and a true leader can be difficult because both might appear strong and decisive, but a key difference lies in their approach to power: a true leader seeks to inspire and empower others while considering their needs, whereas a dictator primarily focuses on maintaining absolute control through intimidation and suppressing dissent, often prioritizing their own interests above the group's well-being
Agreed, Yankeeflyer. Good comment.

The meat grinder he headed gives him experience to be a butcher or to work in a sausage factory. The powers thought it was a joke to put him into that position with his prior experience as a comedian who "played piano with his penis". The whole thing is a joke to keep all from looking at the US funded biolabs Putin is complaining about. I suppose the fer could get a job at a bank with all the money he laundered. Hear he has a house down here. Maybe he's Peelousi's neighbor. How many houses do they need???
Barb, you got me thinking about another option: that Zelensky goes back to acting, comedy, and playing the piano.
