It's probably true that a blogger is getting lazy and isn't adding that much value if he slips into being a mere retailer of other people's original content. Still, sometimes I can't resist. Finding a needle in the internet haystack does have a certain amount of value.
Here is an audio clip by Eric Margolis, a writer who actually knows something about America's Raj in southwest Asia and the Middle East. You won't hear about him in the mainstream media.

I've been watching AlJazeera live via www.justin.tv
Also, Frank Rich in last Sunday's NYTimes had an interesting take on Egypt.
Over the years, I've found Haaretz website, from Tel Aviv, and the Daily Star from Lebanon to be interesting places to look. Coverage of the same events can be eye opening. Haaretz also informs that not all Israeli's are settlers,or settler supporters, which checks, just a tiny bit, my basic pessimistic view of that countries problems.
I'll be spending some time going through Margollis' archives at huffpo. Thanks again for the tip.

thanks for the tip on justin.tv . I didn't know about it. I found the Al Jazeera video feeds. It's nice getting away from the standard American and Israell imperialist viewpoints in the mainstream media.
