The First Trap for Trump 2.0

Nobody knows for sure how Trump 2.0 will be sabotaged.  Political tricks are like military ones and terrorist ones: you can't use an old tactic a second time because the world has become wise to it.  So this time around it won't be "Russian collusion."  The obvious choice will be to turn Biden's lost and unpopular war into Trump's lost war.

A fair number of Trump's supporters are flag-waving jingoes who want their president to be tough.  Making America Great Again means roaming the world and telling other people who their government should be.  This will make it easy for Trump to stake out a tough position relative to Putin.  Trump's ego needs to show the world what a great deal maker he is.

Russia will ignore this game and keep doing what it is doing: winning.  That will cause Trump to bluster a little harder.  In a matter of weeks, Biden's debacle will have become Trump 2.0's debacle.

A movie metaphor came to mind.  The reader might be familiar with "Gettysburg," made back in the 1990s.  The Yankee general Buford (played by Sam Elliot) made a great speech at the beginning of the battle.  It reminds me of the current trap that Trump is about to step into.

Trump is a low IQ Carnival barker. He is proof that the US is in decline.
If Trump would like to prove you wrong, he should be alert for all the sabotage tricks that the media, the Democrats, and the Permanent Bureaucrats will try to pull on him, this time around.

I thought the Carnival barker was in the White House pulling the strings for the big guy and his clowns .

Our country has been in decline !

I think Theodosius The Great is a better comparison than Buford. He was one of the last Roman Emperors to rule before Rome disintegrated for good. Trump is just a speed bump on the way to full US decline and ultimately balkanization.

How will Trump destroy the economy? Start a trade war? Cut taxes for him and the rest of the wealthy but not reduce spending by the same amount? Ignore the burgeoning deficit? All to increase inflation.
Lots of choices for him to pick from.
