What could be more shameful than your country actively aiding the extermination of a people? It makes an individual in America tune the whole thing out -- it is too depressing to think about. But that will just guarantee that the murderous people win. The alternative is to look for some help, some escape, from this shame.
Apparently elections are a false hope. We have had a Democrat administration and now a Republican administration actively participating in the slaughter in Gaza. To hell with the Blue versus the Red -- in either case, the Media and Congress are complete slaves to the Israeli lobby.
If we back off from the daily news and take in a long-term view, we see public assemblies going through fundamental changes from time to time, typically because of some crisis. Think of the changes the English Parliament has had over the last few centuries. Or consider King Louis XVI reconvening the French Estates-General, only to watch them reconstitute themselves into an active leader of the Revolution.
It's not impossible that the Zionist axis (Israel, Washington DC, London) could be weakened in the United Nations. That would certainly help the U.N. become an effective instrument for peace in the Mideast. The UN Security Council is stuck in 1945. Why was France ever on the Security Council to begin with?
In 1945, it made sense that the UK was put on the Security Council. But today? Getting rid of them would eliminate one Zionist veto there. Of course, the most important Zionist power is the USA. It sounds impossible to kick the USA off the Security Council, but what if the rules changed so that a single veto was no longer sufficient to overthrow the resolutions of the General Assembly, as has happened many times when a sole USA veto shielded Israel?
Hoping for this kind of reform should not be discouraged by legalisms. All important institutional changes come down to a declaration and a forceful assertion, not to precedents and legalisms.
