A Strange Forgotten Substance Falls From the Sky

Light rain hits my trailer. How odd that I can't remember the last time it rained. I wish to hold on to the moment. But how?

The true significance of this rain in undermined by modern comfort and security: it is too easy to buy or get water!

Maybe there are novelists who have done an artful job of relating the experience of rain, but I haven't read enough fiction to know of them. Extra credit points for any reader who offers a fine example from books or movies.

Unpublished :) says. As a child I remember the Awe of the thunderstorm, rocks rolling down the Mt making younger brother's eyes open wide. Or sitting under a park pavilion caught again in a TS. And here I sit with my dog watching the rain. Seems like old times. That plus I need more solar or ??? Perhaps wildflowers this year. And yes I heard no thunder. 3 months since I heard rain BTW.

Would you consider "The Rainmaker" with Burt Lancaster and Katharine Hepburn as an artful job relating to rain. It is the first thing that came to mind.

Well, you asked for it. Gene Kelly, Singin' in the Rain, An American in Paris.

Believe it or not, that movie had slipped my mind!
Have not seen that movie. Am a fan of Lancaster, but not of Hepburn (as with many male pigs.) Sounds like it would be worth a try.
"Unpublished"! I like that. Great anecdote.
